Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Residential Aide in Wallingford, PA to provide support, training, and quality care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a community group home. The role reports to the Division Manager of Residential Services and involves personal care, guidance, and engagement in programs.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. No prior experience is required. Competitive benefits are offered, with pay at $17.50 per hour.

• Experience: None Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist persons-served in reaching their goals of becoming more independent
• Act as a positive role model for persons served
• Provide guidance, instruction, coaching, and support, following individual plans
• Engage individuals in beneficial programs and activities
• Transport and accompany individuals into the community for appointments and outings
• Directly assist with personal care as needed
• Assist with meal preparation and routine homemaking duties
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the person served including medical/medication needs
• Apply approved behavior plans and intervention strategies as/if needed
• Complete records and reports; collect data according to Agency policy
