Job summary

St. John’s Community Services in Tennessee seeks a part-time Residential Support Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities in developing life skills, provide personal care, and support daily routines in the community.

Responsibilities include supervising health and safety, implementing ISP/BSP plans, documenting progress, transporting to appointments, and assisting with meals and household chores. A valid driver’s license and background check are required; multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

• Ability to gain working knowledge of St. John’s Community Services policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with staff and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Observe and respond to individuals’ needs.
• Provide supervision for health and safety.
• Assist with ISP/BSP training documentation and reporting.
• Administer medication and document in MAR.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities.
• Assist with daily activities and meal preparation.
• Attend agency events and trainings.
