Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Frederick, MD is seeking a part-time Residential Counselor for the Residential Rehabilitation Program. This role provides one-on-one support, helps clients develop independent living skills, and collaborates with a service team to implement individual plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings as required
• Active, non-provisional driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to an insured vehicle

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain skills for successful community and independent living and socialization
• Ensure medication compliance, including safety, dosage, and cleanliness
• Collaborate with the service team to develop and implement individual service plans
• Provide transportation to and attend clients’ medical appointments; advocate and ensure follow-up instructions are documented and followed through
