Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist for the Residential Treatment program in Frederick, MD. This full-time role requires on-site work with a schedule Tuesday–Saturday, 7AM–3PM.

You will support adults with serious mental illness, ensuring a safe environment and assisting with treatment plans and transportation to appointments. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to recovery, with opportunities for professional development, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings as required.
• Driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to a vehicle.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain independent living and socialization skills.
• Ensure medication safety, dosage accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and advocate for clients during appointments and follow-up.
