Job summary

Eisenhower Center in Michigan is seeking a Residential Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of assigned units, supervise and train staff, and ensure safety and well-being of residents in accord with care plans. You will coordinate with clinical teams, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with EC/Statewide standards, while supporting quality of life for residents through effective leadership.

The Residential Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for units assigned. Directly, oversee, supervise, and train management/Direct Professional Service staff per Eisenhower standards. Serve as a leader and role model on campus. Ensuring safety, security and well-being of all resident's while promoting a supportive and positive living environment and following clinical guidelines as far as each resident plan of care. Ensuring residential units run in accordance with facility/corporate standards. Ensuring that funder, medical, and clinical plans of care are followed by staff assigned to the residential units. Collaborating and partnering with all departments to assist with developing/managing plan of cares and a continued effort to improve quality of life for each resident.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Directly oversee, supervise, and train residential staff per Eisenhower standards with emphasis on
    accountability to job descriptions.
  • Assigning duties and responsibilities to staff members and monitoring performance.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to staff members.
Management/Operations/Coordination
  • Ensuring assigned duties are followed through on and meeting deadlines:
  • Monthly Drills ensure uploaded into EMR/agency management system. - Recreation Calendar creating calendars on a monthly basis for ideas/activities of outings for the month for residents.
  • Staff Meetings coordinating/scheduling all staff meetings for unit staff. -
  • Timecards ensuring all timecards for unit staff are completed within deadlines. - Client Schedules ensuring schedules are printed out weekly and posted on residents' door for the week.
  • Resident Funds Management as assigned. - Vehicle Logs ensuring these are completed and proper follow up taken. - DPN Submission audit for accuracy and completeness.
  • SAM - Staffing/Schedules ensuring the floor is staffed at levels it needs to be at all times and
    SAM (Scheduling systems) is kept up to date with deployments.
  • Managing employee relations with Human Resources.
  • Direct Data Sheets audit for accuracy and completeness.
  • Recording weights/vitals within the EMR.
  • Development/implementation of new hire staff training/shadowing within your units.
  • Ensuring day program attendance, where applicable.
  • Documentation
  • Compliance ensuring unit staff are all within compliance with EC/Statewide requirements.
  • Reviewing and following up on all Incident Reports review and processing of incident reports.
  • Attending all required meetings as assigned.
Residential Units
  • Floor Maintenance and management.
  • Quality of Care ensuring that a high standard of quality of care is facility wide.
  • Management On Call MOC
  • Residential On Call - ROC
  • Ensuring staffing levels meet compliance and needs.
  • Recipient Rights posters are up to date on the unit along with any other needed as assigned.
  • CMH Resident Participation: and treatment team to assist with developing a plan of care/IPOS.
  • Coordination/Team Meetings/Case Review Meetings.
  • Ensure that the IPOS and other clinical goals are implemented with the residential unit staff, as trained by clinical team members.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and movement throughout residential, clinical, and community-based settings while providing direct behavioral support services to residents. The employee must be able to actively observe, engage, and interact with residents throughout the workday.
  • The employee may be required to assist residents with daily activities, accompany residents to appointments and community outings, and support the implementation of individualized behavioral support plans. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently and greater weights with assistance or appropriate equipment when necessary.
  • Work is performed in adult foster care, residential, and behavioral health treatment environments. The employee will have regular exposure to residents receiving behavioral health services and may interact with individuals exhibiting behavioral, emotional, psychiatric, developmental, or cognitive challenges. The employee must be able to maintain professionalism and effectively de-escalate challenging situations while adhering to organizational policies and training.
  • The position requires frequent movement throughout assigned facilities and may involve navigating stairs, transporting residents, and traveling between organizational locations as needed. The employee must be able to respond appropriately to behavioral incidents, resident crises, and emergency situations.
  • The employee may be exposed to communicable illnesses, bodily fluids, environmental hazards, and other conditions associated with providing direct resident care and behavioral support services. Evening, weekend, holiday, overtime, and on-call hours may be required based on operational needs.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs, and movement throughout residential homes and campus locations while supervising staff and overseeing resident care operations. The employee must be able to provide leadership, coaching, and direct support to staff while ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
  • The employee may be required to assist with resident care activities, crisis intervention, staffing coverage, transportation, and emergency response situations as needed. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently and greater weights with assistance or appropriate equipment when necessary.
  • Work is performed in adult foster care, residential, and behavioral health treatment environments. The employee will have regular exposure to residents receiving services for behavioral health, psychiatric, developmental, cognitive, and emotional challenges and may interact with individuals exhibiting unpredictable or escalated behaviors.
  • The position requires frequent interaction with residents, families, guardians, regulatory agencies, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members. The employee must be able to monitor resident care, conduct inspections, complete documentation, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • The employee must be able to respond appropriately to behavioral incidents, resident crises, medical emergencies, staffing shortages, and other operational needs. Travel between residential locations may be required to provide oversight and support across multiple homes or campuses.
  • The position may require evening, weekend, holiday, overtime, and on-call responsibilities based on operational and staffing needs.
