Flewelling & Moody in Pasadena is seeking an experienced architect and leader to guide a diverse residential portfolio—multifamily, senior living, affordable housing, mixed-use—and mentor project teams while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes design excellence, strict code compliance, and collaboration across disciplines; you will lead projects from design through construction with opportunities to shape the Residential Studio for the long term.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect in California.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible architectural experience, with significant residential project leadership.
• Experience with HUD-funded housing projects and related federal regulations.
• Strong knowledge of California Building Codes, accessibility and zoning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead multifamily, senior living, affordable housing, mixed-use and residential projects through all design phases.
• Build long-term client relationships through exceptional communication and service.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, staffing and deliverables for successful project execution.
• Provide leadership to project teams and coordinate multidisciplinary consultants.
• Mentor junior staff and promote collaborative studio culture.
• Identify opportunities for repeat work and support business development.
