Job summary

The New England Center for Children is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Primary Care Nurse (RN) to provide healthcare and case management for students in our residential program. The role operates under supervision by the Director of Health Services and Pediatrician, delivering comprehensive nursing care to an assigned caseload of residential students.

• Proven clinical assessment and nursing judgment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare and case management for an assigned caseload of residential students.
• Conduct advanced health assessments and identify changes in students’ health and healthcare needs.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, pediatrician, and other healthcare professionals when additional assessment is needed.
• Participate in the daily health clinic, including preparing treatments and nurses’ orders.
• Instruct teachers, parents, and caregivers regarding treatments and healthcare needs.
• Serve as a medical liaison between clinical staff and parents.
• Communicate health plans and ongoing care with families.
