The Arc of San Diego is seeking a Residential Specialist to provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home-like setting in Kearny Mesa, San Diego.

This role requires a compassionate, flexible team player who can assist with daily living activities and promote independence; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with weekend and morning shifts.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a nice-to-have.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

About the Role:

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence.

Location: Kearny Mesa

Schedule: Sat & Sun 6a-2p, Mon- Fri 6a-11a

Pay: The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.00

A typical day will include:

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities

• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• A passion for making a difference!

We’d love it if you:

• Are bilingual in English and Spanish
• Have experience using case management systems (Therap preferred)
