Job summary

City of Peoria, AZ is seeking an Equipment Operator for the residential collection division. The role requires operating heavy equipment and various waste collection vehicles to maintain clean neighborhoods and handle refuse/recycling materials.

The ideal candidate will have at least 9–12 months of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Arizona CDL. Additional endorsements may be required within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalency.
• At least 9-12 months of experience in a similar or related position.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for excavating, trenching, street cleaning and delivering refuse and recycling materials to the landfill.
• Operate front load, side load, rear load and roll-off collection vehicles.
• Operate an articulated tractor.
• List all commercial driving experience on resume and application.
