Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Non-Certified Electrician to lead the installation of residential solar systems and batteries, ensuring conformance to NEC and local codes. This role supports the PV installation crew and may lead the crew in the Foreman's absence.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with 600 VDC and 480 VAC, and progress toward state electrical certification. A clean driving record and ability to travel about 5% are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess 75% of the hours required to sit for state specific electrical certification exams.
• Electrical installation and repair experience required.
• Experience with wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
• Working knowledge of replacing residential services and distribution panels.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license (21+).
• Certified electrical trainee preferred or required depending on state requirements.
• Knowledge of NEC codes and ability to interpret drawings for PV systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of electrical systems interconnecting solar array to grid at residential properties.
• Ensure workmanship is compliant with NEC and local codes.
• Plan and complete solar battery installations and MPUs per state requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical system issues.
• Coordinate with branch team and homeowners for upgrades/repairs.
• Liaise with local inspectors to meet requirements.
• Uphold OSHA safety standards in PV installations.
• Support the team as needed, traveling ~5%.
