Job summary

SOL | MARS Builder Solutions seeks a Service Technician to support residential solar PV and battery storage systems in Escondido. You will diagnose, repair, inspect, and perform preventative maintenance, delivering high-quality field service with safety first.

The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting, ability to read diagrams, operate testing tools, travel to sites, and communicate clearly with homeowners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience troubleshooting residential solar PV systems.
• Experience with battery energy storage systems (Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ Battery, FranklinWH).
• Experience bending and installing conduit.
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with NEC and local codes.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR; NABCEP or electrical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Perform service calls, inspections, warranty work, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, monitoring, communication, and production-related issues.
• Test and verify system operation and performance.
• Document service activities, findings, repairs, and recommendations.
• Educate customers on system operation and best practices.
• Travel locally to customer homes and job sites; participate in on-call or after-hours service.
• Maintain safety standards and PPE; operate company vehicle and tools.
