The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer – Residential Design to support our expanding residential site development portfolio in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will assist senior staff in the design and preparation of residential projects, prepare engineering calculations and construction documents, and coordinate with various teams. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and is proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Qualifications
5-8 years of experience specializing in residential or site development projects.
EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) with a clear path toward PE licensure.
Responsibilities
Assist senior staff with the design and preparation of residential site development projects.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, and construction documents.
Develop feasibility studies and early project planning materials.
Perform grading and drainage design for residential developments.
Coordinate with internal teams including Surveying, Geotechnical, and Structural.
Participate in field visits and site observations as needed.
