Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in an adult residential setting, supervising and supporting residents' daily activities while promoting independence and community integration.

This full-time role offers a 40-hour schedule, pay rate $19.00-$20.50 per hour with paid training and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff. The position requires MAP certification and a valid driver's license, with opportunities for leadership and growth.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in education, psychology, rehabilitation, or related field preferred or one year of experience in human services.
• Must maintain MAP certification; obtain MAP within 3 months of hire.
• Must be 21+, with a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and daily use of a car (preferred).
• Fluent English: speak, read, and write.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts and ensure communication of daily plans.
• Implement ISPs, behavior plans, and assessments to align with resident needs.
• Ensure medications are delivered and documented.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, and external agencies for comprehensive care.
• Attend annual and semi-annual reviews and ensure DDS compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of residents’ progress and daily reports.
