Job summary

ACHIEVE NY is seeking a Residence Manager to oversee the operations and compliance of assigned residential programs in Madison County. The role provides leadership to staff, maintains high-quality services, and ensures health and safety for individuals served.

You will supervise staff, manage schedules, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure accurate documentation, life plans, and billing records while promoting independence and meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 3 years of experience in OPWDD or a similar human services setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must physically be able to perform required certifications and lift fifty (50) pounds.
• Possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned residential programs, ensuring quality care, health and safety, and compliance with OPWDD and agency standards
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff (Assistant Residence Managers and Direct Support Professionals), including hiring support, scheduling, payroll approvals, and ongoing performance management
• Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate program coverage, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Ensure completion, accuracy, and compliance of all program documentation, including Life Plans, ISP/SAP plans, habilitation plans, notes, and billing records
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and communication with families, guardians, and service providers
• Promote person-centered practices by supporting independence, choice, and meaningful outcomes for individuals served
• Monitor program compliance, identify and address incidents or safety concerns, and participate in investigations as required
• Ensure staff complete required trainings and maintain certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, SCIP), while supporting ongoing professional development
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams, leadership, and community partners to support consistent service delivery
