Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to support the Resident Manager and oversee IRA operations. You will help coordinate staff schedules, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with program standards while supporting medical and clinical plans for persons supported.

Key qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, a valid multi-state driver’s license, and 1+ year in residential services. Strong budgeting, communication, and crisis-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with 6 months of experience and 6 or less points.
• Minimum of 1 year in residential services; supervisory experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities and person-centered planning.
• Budgeting and resource management to ensure efficient use of program funds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback on service delivery and goals.
• Coordinate staff schedules and verify hours; manage sick leave.
• Support medical and clinical care plans with DSPs, MAP, nurses, and BIS.
• Develop and implement staff action plans to achieve personalized outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Provide ongoing training and development for staff; maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers.
