Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to oversee IRA operations, support the Resident Manager, and participate in DSP orientation, supervision, and evaluation. You will coordinate staff schedules, monitor hours, manage petty cash, and ensure detailed expenditure records.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with 6 months of experience and 6 or fewer points.
• Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in residential services; supervisory experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities and person-centered planning.
• Regulatory knowledge of Medicaid regulations and licensing.
• Budget management and responsible handling of residence funds.
• Strong communication skills; crisis management ability.
• Documentation and record-keeping experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staff performance and give feedback on service delivery and goal attainment.
• Coordinate staff schedules, verify hours, and manage petty cash.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
• Collaborate with external agencies and healthcare providers to coordinate services.
