Miles Plumbing & Heating in Dimondale, MI is seeking a Field Plumbing Service Professional Journeyman Plumber with an active Michigan license to service residential customers (and light commercial) and to work independently while maintaining professional customer interactions using ServiceTitan.

The role focuses on diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation; you will manage jobs through completion, provide accurate estimates, secure approvals, and keep meticulous digital records and time

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Journeyman Plumber license.
• Experience in residential plumbing service.
• Skilled in repair, maintenance, and installation.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Ability to explain pricing and recommendations.
• Comfort with mobile technology.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely handle loads up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Field Plumbing Service Professional

Our Dimondale, MI team is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber with an active Michigan license.

The position focuses primarily on residential service, repair, maintenance, and installation, with opportunities to support light commercial customers as well. You will be expected to work independently, interact professionally with customers, and manage your assigned jobs through completion.

Our technicians use ServiceTitan to keep customers and the office informed throughout the service process.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and diagnose residential plumbing problems.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation work safely and according to code.
• Service plumbing fixtures, water heaters, drains, piping, pumps, valves, hydronic components, and related systems.
• Review problems and potential solutions with homeowners and light commercial customers.
• Prepare estimates and clearly explain repair-versus-replacement options.
• Secure customer approval before completing recommended work.
• Manage service calls from dispatch through completion.

Performance Expectations

During the first 90 days, you should be able to manage a full daily service schedule with limited supervision while maintaining high-quality work and strong customer communication.

Successful technicians diagnose issues accurately, limit callbacks, maintain complete digital records, communicate effectively with dispatch, and help apprentices develop safe and productive work habits.

What You Bring

• Active Michigan Journeyman Plumber license.
• Demonstrated experience in residential plumbing service.
• Experience with plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, drains, water heaters, pumps, valves, and hydronic equipment.
• Professional customer-service and communication skills.

• Comfort with mobile technology.
• ServiceTitan or comparable field-service software experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
