Job summary

The Residential Service Pro Electrician at M.R. Electricians, Inc. diagnoses, installs, repairs, and maintains residential electrical systems on service calls throughout the DMV area.

You will be the primary customer-facing field technician, delivering code-compliant work and excellent communication while mentoring apprentices. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will ensure safety, proper documentation, and professional representation.

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland State Journeyperson Electrician License (or a license from a state with Maryland reciprocity).
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues; identify root causes and present customers with clear, detailed options and recommendations.
• Identify and remediate safety hazards, code violations, and non-compliant installations in accordance with the NEC, Maryland State electrical standards, and applicable Montgomery County regulations.
• Perform repair, replacement, and installation of electrical systems, panels, wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, fixtures, and related equipment to code.
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit for new and existing electrical installations.
• Source, procure, and manage all materials required to complete approved work efficiently and within scope.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the duration of each job and upon completion.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and in accordance with all applicable traffic laws and company vehicle policies.
