Job summary

M.R. Electricians, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Service Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on commercial and residential service calls across the DMV area.

You will lead a customer-facing role while mentoring apprentices and ensuring code-compliant workmanship. You must hold a Maryland Journeyperson license (or reciprocal), have at least 3 years of commercial experience, and be able to travel daily within the DMV service area.

Qualifications

Valid Maryland State Journeyperson Electrician License (or reciprocal) with at least 3 years of commercial electrical experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong knowledge of NEC and Maryland codes.
Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Fluent English communication to ensure effective customer interaction.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders as required.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment in commercial and residential settings.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for projects.
Troubleshoot issues and provide code-compliant solutions with clear explanations.
Mentor and train assigned apprentices on safety and proper techniques.
Maintain accurate job records, work orders, estimates, and service tickets.
