Hope Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Indianapolis is seeking a Service Plumber to diagnose and repair residential plumbing, educate customers, and maximize home performance. You will work with the team to deliver safe, reliable service while identifying energy and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Three (3)+ years of residential plumbing service experience.
• Knowledge of local plumbing codes and on‑the‑job applications.
• Proven soldering, fixture installation, leak detection and repair.
• Continued education and training.
• Clean, safe driving record.
• Highly organized with exceptional follow‑through abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• High integrity with strong social skills and ability to connect with customers.
• Desire to become a better technician tomorrow than today.
• Competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team.

Responsibilities

• Understand plumbing systems to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
• Physically access crawlspaces and attics as needed.
• Educate customers and provide detailed option sheets with products and services.
• Help customers choose best financing options and maintenance plans.
• Perform repairs and test for functionality and leaks.
• Meet revenue goals and uphold service criteria.
• Present professionally to win referrals and repeat business.
• Coordinate with customer service and dispatch for success.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and well‑stocked trucks.
• Participate in training, meetings, and team events.
• Train apprentices for accurate repairs and installations.
• Provide timely invoices and timecards.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the plumbing system in order to accurately troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues.
• Physically capable of going through crawlspaces and attics when necessary.
• Know how to educate customers and provide detailed option sheets with the right products and services.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
• Ability to make repairs and properly test for functionality and leaks.
• Understand service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
• Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
• Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats.
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback and option sheets.
