Job summary

M and M Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical in Longmont, CO is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician to handle service calls, upgrades, and installs, including remodels. This full-time role includes a company vehicle, comprehensive benefits, and reporting to our in-house Master Electrician.

You will perform upgrades, installations, repairs, and troubleshooting, working with a team to ensure safety and code compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Competence in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and regulations to ensure safe work environments.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and specifications in installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Upgrades: Assisting with upgrades to electrical systems to enhance efficiency.
• Installation: Installing electrical components and systems, wiring, circuit breakers and more.
• Repairs: Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical issues and determining the best solutions to resolve them.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other technicians to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Documentation: Keeping accurate records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Safety Compliance: Following all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Customer Interaction: Communicating with customers to explain issues, recommend solutions, and provide updates on work being performed.
• Continuing Education: Staying current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. Reasonable accommodations may be made to perform essential functions.
