Job summary

North Shore Community Development Coalition (NSCDC) is seeking a Part-Time Resident Services Coordinator to support seniors with outreach, education, and access to community resources. Responsibilities include intake assessments, referrals, and coordinating events with nearby agencies and property management.

The role emphasizes resident empowerment with minimal supervision, data tracking, and collaboration to enhance quality of life for seniors in the NC/NS area.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years counseling, recreational therapy, or crisis intervention with seniors.
  • Must have daily access to an automobile and a valid MA State Driver’s License.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of residents through intakes, needs assessments and community meetings.
  • Serve as liaison to community agencies and establish partnerships.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of resources for residents and provide referrals.
  • Coordinate and facilitate community events and programming.
  • Collaborate with property staff and agencies to resolve resident issues before crises.
  • Be an active member of the site team and support property operations.

About the Role:

We are seeking a self-motivated, resourceful, and passionate individual who thrives in an independent, fast-paced environment and is deeply committed to supporting seniors with the care and knowledge needed for them to live the highest quality of life possible. This role requires someone who can manage a caseload with minimal supervision, think creatively to solve problems, and navigate complex systems to connect seniors with the resources they need to thrive.

The Resident Services Coordinator will provide outreach, direct support, resource development, education and community building/support (WC) to seniors (WC) living at the ************** property. This role is ideal for someone with an empowerment mindset, who believes residents should do as much as they are capable of doing for and by themselves.

This position is a part-time, hourly position ($23.00 per hour).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents through intakes, needs assessments, goal setting, community meetings, etc. in order to offer residents the opportunity to participate in their community and to guide them towards appropriate services and resources

  • Serve as a liaison to community agencies and establish and maintain partnerships with organizations and individuals that might benefit this population

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of available community resources (employment, education, social service agencies, etc.) for residents.

  • Provide residents with appropriate resources and referrals

  • Facilitate community through coordination of community events and programming.

  • Work with property staff, families and community agencies to identify and address resident problems before they reach crisis level

  • Be an active member of the site team, working collaboratively with the property manager and other site staff to meet property needs and resolve resident problems.

  • Work with residents to resolve conflicts with neighbors.

  • Plan and coordinate recreational, cultural and social activities in coordination with property operations staff and residents, as needed.

Administration - Data and Record Keeping, and Training

  • Write and track written progress notes on all cases

  • Collect Intake and program eligibility documentation

  • Prepare for and participate in weekly case conferences

  • Assist with performing reviews on participants’ trends and follow up with resolution as part of case coordination

  • Track demographics, outcomes and services for all clients

  • Complete reports on programmatic goals/outcomes

Other Duties:

  • Identify and build new relationships with community organizations, state and federal agencies, and businesses to foster new opportunities for the program

  • Attend workshops, trainings, staff meetings and community/NSCDC events

  • Perform all other tasks as deemed necessary at the direction of supervisor
