Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service CCTV and burglar alarm systems in the Chicago South IL area. The role involves low-voltage wiring, radio replacements, and wire pulling for residential clients.

You will interact with customers, educate them on services, and track job progress on mobile devices. A valid license and reliable transportation are required, with potential for contract conversion based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Own reliable transportation.
• Own basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, drill) and a 6–8 ft ladder.
• Experience with CCTV, burglar alarm systems, and low-voltage wiring.
• Comfort with inventory tracking on mobile devices.
• Ability to upsell and meet performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Install/program security systems in residential communities.
• Perform low-voltage installs, add-ons, conversions, radio replacements, and wire pulling for homes and small businesses.
• Run remote tests to verify equipment operation.
• Educate customers about services and features.
• Track inventory and jobs using smartphones, laptops, or tablets.
