Job summary

Global Guardian, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Residential Security Agent to provide static protection for a client site and support the security team with coverage.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, possible domestic and international travel, and collaboration with a team lead. Candidates must have 5+ years in security, incl. 2+ years of executive protection; CA BSIS permits and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security experience with at least 2 years in executive protection (RST).
• Experience conducting protection missions in domestic environments.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic medical first aid training, AED; CPR certification preferred.
• Background check and driving history review required.
• California BSIS Security Guard Permit (Required).
• California BSIS Security Exposed Weapons Permit (Required).
• California Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW) (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide static protection and other security-related duties at a designated site.
• Manage family members to ensure safety and security precautions.
• Respond to emergencies and perform medical first aid operations.
• Deescalate tense situations during missions.
• Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns promptly.
• Report incidents through reports and administrative tools.
• Conduct area patrols and report suspicious activity.
• Assist with protection schedules and team assignments.
• Operate and maintain protective equipment including a vehicle.
• Identify and elevate deficiencies and security gaps.
• Assist with intelligence and other duties within the command post.
