Job summary

gpac is seeking a Residential Roofing Superintendent to oversee all aspects of residential roofing projects in Aurora, IL. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with top-quality safety standards, guiding crews and subcontractors from start to finish.

The role requires 3–5 years of residential roofing supervision, strong leadership and the ability to read blueprints, with proficiency in construction management software and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in residential roofing in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all roofing activities on residential projects from start to finish (on-site).
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations, building codes and company standards.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors and crews to maintain timelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate progress records, daily reports and material usage.
• Communicate updates and concerns to clients regularly.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators and team members for smooth execution.
