Casa Myrna’s EVA Center seeks a Residential Relief Advocate in Boston’s South End/Dorchester area. You will screen intakes, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate shelter activities for women and children seeking exit from exploitation.

The role requires sensitivity to confidential information and a commitment to empowerment. The position offers varied shifts including evenings and weekends, with an hourly rate of $21–$25 based on service time.

Qualifications

• Committed to Casa Myrna’s values and mission to end violence and exploitation.
• Minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience as an activist, organizer, or advocate.
• Familiarity with Boston-area community resources serving youth, homeless, or low-income populations.
• Ability to communicate non-judgmentally and work with diverse groups.

Responsabilités

• Performs intake, advocacy, and referrals for program participants.
• Provides crisis intervention and supportive listening to survivors and children.
• Maintains program safety and confidentiality; reports problems to supervisor.
• Keeps accurate records and participates in staff duties and supervision.
• Coordinates daily shelter maintenance and children's play areas.
• Delivers age-appropriate childcare and activities as needed.
• Attends trainings and monthly staff meetings; collaborates with staff and partners.
