Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services seeks a Residential Rehab Educator/Counselor to help adults with mental illness live as actively and independently as possible.

You will assist clients with goal setting, daily living skills, engagement in meaningful activities, socialization, transportation, and medication administration. Training and a competitive benefits package are provided to support growth.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, human services, social work, health sciences toward an Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in health and human services field and/or related education or training.
• Ongoing training and development provided.
• Patience and understanding interacting with individuals with disabilities.
• Dependability, flexibility, and desire to help others.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn to use an electronic health record system.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license and safe driving record; driving experience and access to a vehicle may be required.
• CPR, First Aid and MAP certifications will be required.

assist clients experiencing behavioral health issues with: goal setting and achievement, activities of daily living, engagement in meaningful activities, socialization, transportation and administration of medication. Implement treatment plans that help clients with reaching goals and symptom management. Help clients to develop independence and enhance quality of life.

Education:

- HS diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, human services, social work, health sciences towards an Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
