Job summary

Mirror seeks a Recovery Support Specialist to supervise clients in a residential program under clinical supervision. You will document client behavior, assist with urinalysis, and support staff with KDADS compliance while maintaining confidentiality.

Role requires high school diploma or GED, exposure to addiction treatment, and proficiency with MS Word; some college coursework in human services is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college courses in human services/addiction are desirable.
• Experience supervising and interacting with persons addicted to drugs or in a correctional setting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word; basic Excel skills.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication abilities; ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clients during assigned hours and monitor groups.
• Provide transportation for clients to appointments or community-based providers.
• Maintain accurate daily case records and confidentiality per laws.
• Assist clinical staff with KDADS compliance and audits.
• Participate in staff meetings and case staffing conferences.
• Support clients through urinalysis collection and documentation workflows.
• Handle crisis situations and de-escalate potentially harmful incidents.
• Record client movement and maintain/secure facility safety during shifts.
