Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the Residential Recovery Program in Drexel Hill, PA. The role supports residents with daily living skills, counseling, and medication education in a small team with a caseload of 4–5 residents.

Shifts run every other weekend: Sat–Sun, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and the position is part-time. Responsibilities include guiding daily living activities, providing recovery-focused counseling, facilitating safe home routines, transporting residents as needed, and

Qualifications

Associate’s degree with 1 year of human services experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Strong communicator who thrives both independently and on a team.
Compassionate, flexible, recovery-oriented mindset.
Comfort managing a small caseload (4–5 residents).
Valid driver’s license and willingness to transport residents.

Responsibilities

Guide residents through daily living skills — self-care, budgeting, and medication education.
Provide supportive, recovery-oriented counseling grounded in best practices.
Help maintain a safe, welcoming home through light housekeeping and meal prep.
Drive residents to appointments and activities using a program van.
Administer medications in line with DPW standards.
Respond calmly and confidently in crisis moments.
Keep accurate documentation and billable service records.
Advocate for residents and model healthy communication and conflict resolution.
Partner with your program coordinator and team to support each resident's individual goals.
