Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for the Drapelick Center. The role requires working third shift and serving male clients due to contractual requirements.

You will conduct urinalysis, document, monitor movement, and perform searches, counts, and transportation as needed. A high school diploma and 4 years in social services or criminal justice are required, along with a FBOP background check and 40 hours of FBOP training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field (education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one-for-one basis).
  • Only male applicants will be considered due to contractual requirements.
  • Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
  • Attend 40 hours of FBOP required training prior to working with FBOP clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled shift.
  • Conduct urinalysis and secure urine samples from same-sex clients, completing all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Provide updates on client issues and incidents to staff.
  • Verify all physical items being passed between shifts and ensure security of facility keys.
  • Conduct employment, job search, and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
  • Perform common area, room, and perimeter searches as assigned, documenting results.
  • Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility, documenting results.
  • Confiscate contraband found and complete incident reports.
  • Complete house counts: every hour from midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm, documenting results.
  • Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly emergency drills.
  • Supervise all client visitation and sign visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
  • Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of the shift and facilitate client orientation as assigned.
  • Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
  • Monitor client’s self-administration of medication.

Schedule

Tuesday – Saturday 12:00am – 8:00am

Hourly Rate

$20.25 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials.
