Make a Real Impact in Your Community! Join our mission-driven team as a Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist at Drapelick Center located in Bloomfield, CT. Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role. Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) has been a pioneer in community-based services for over 60 years, transforming lives through programs for individuals involved in child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Report to work 15 minutes before their scheduled shift (e.g., staff hired for the 4pm–12am shift are required to report by 3:45pm).
  • Conduct urinalysis.
  • Provide updates on any client issues and incidents.
  • Verify all physical items being passed between shifts.
  • Ensure security of facility keys.
  • Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
  • Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.
  • Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
  • Confiscate any contraband found and complete incident report.
  • Complete house counts hourly from midnight to 8:00 a.m. and every 2 hours from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., documenting results.
  • Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly emergency drills.
  • Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
  • Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
  • Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
  • Monitor clients’ self-administration of medication.
Schedule

Tuesday – Saturday 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Hourly Rate

$20.25 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one-for-one basis.
  • Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role.
  • Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
  • Attend 40 hours of FBOP required training prior to working FBOP clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license.
