Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. is seeking a Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for the Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. The role involves supervising clients, conducting searches, and ensuring safety and compliance within the facility.

The position requires a High School Diploma with 4 years in social services or criminal justice, a valid driver’s license, and passing a FBOP background check. Evening shift 12:00am–8:00am, with an hourly rate of $20.25 plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus 4 years' experience in social services, criminal justice, or related field.
  • Contractual requirement restricts applicants to male candidates.
  • Must pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
  • Complete 40 hours FBOP training before working with FBOP clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work 15 minutes before shift start.
  • Conduct urinalysis.
  • Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
  • Verify all physical items passed between shifts.
  • Ensure security of facility keys.
  • Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
  • Conduct area, room and perimeter searches and document results.
  • Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
  • Confiscate contraband and complete incident report.
  • Complete hourly house counts and document results.
  • Transport clients in company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly emergency drills.
  • Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete all required paperwork.
  • Supervise all client visitation and sign in/out visitors and contractors.
  • Complete intake on new arrivals and facilitate client orientation.
  • Facilitate client movement in/out of the facility.
  • Monitor client's self-administration of medication.

Job description

Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist – Drapelick Center, Bloomfield, CT

Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role.

What You'll Do:
  • Report to work 15 minutes before their scheduled shift for example staff hired for the 4pm-12am shift are required to report to work by 3:45pm.
  • Conduct Urinalysis.
  • Provide update on any client issues and incidents.
  • Verify all physical items being passed between shifts.
  • Ensure security of facility keys.
  • Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
  • Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.
  • Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
  • Confiscate any contraband found and complete incident report.
  • Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results.
  • Transport Clients as needed in a Company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly emergency drills.
  • Secure urines from same sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
  • Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
  • Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
  • Monitor client's self-administration of medication.
Schedule

Tuesdays - Saturday 12:00am - 8:00am

Hourly Rate

$20.25 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials
