Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. seeks a PV Solutions Engineer to drive sales through technical pre-sales, optimize customer interactions, and manage cross-functional collaboration with R&D, product management, and sales teams.

The role focuses on residential PV technologies for the North American market and requires up to 20% travel. The candidate will lead technical solutions, support product listings and documentation, and contribute to the technology roadmap while promoting Qcells North America

Qualifications

• BS or MS/PhD in Engineering or Physical Sciences with 2–3 years in PV solar or renewable energy
• Strong PV, inverter, racking, and BOS compatibility knowledge for residential, commercial, and utility applications
• Experience with reliability testing, certification, listing, codes and PV system standards
• Hands-on experience developing, applying, testing, and deploying PV products
• Proven success in technical sales engineering or sales support
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate with customers
• Excellent business acumen, with ability to align technical issues with business results
• Self-motivated with reliability and urgency
• Strong verbal and written communication to influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead sales-focused technical solutions for residential customers in the North American PV market
• Own the technical pre-sales process, including compatibility, testing, certifications, contracts review, and site troubleshooting
• Collaborate with global internal teams to align on technology roadmap, product offers, and timelines
• Ensure introduction and implementation of PV products including qualifications and product documentation
• Develop and manage customer relationships with timely, customer-centric actions
• Influence design and product development to meet customer requirements
• Provide product training and promote Qcells North America solutions to customers and the sales team
• Represent the company at trade shows and conferences
• Maintain understanding of industry trends and participate in technical meetings and events
• Contribute as an individual contributor for hands-on engineering tasks
