Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join the John E Herman Home and Treatment Center, a residential program for adults with serious persistent mental illness. You will support therapy groups, medication management, and milieu activities as part of an integrated care team.

Under RN direction, you will promote safety, engage residents in meaningful activities, and help implement individualized treatment plans in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a mental health/behavioral assistant working with adults and/or children is preferred or completion of 12 college credits.
• Basic skills in cleaning, cooking, and meal preparation.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and electronic clinic documentation.
• Ability to multi-task in stressful situations.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary team while maintaining patient/family centeredness and safety.
• Other required training (first aid, food safety, trauma-informed care) is provided after hire and must be completed within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

• Lead social activities, games and crafts to engage residents in milieu-based therapy.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Promote involvement in the treatment program.
• Monitor safety and identify escalation of concerning behaviors.
