Mayo Clinic’s John E Herman Home and Treatment Center in Minnesota seeks a Psychiatric Technician to support a residential program serving adults with serious mental illness. You will participate in group and individual therapies, medication management, and milieu-based activities to foster recovery and safety.

The role emphasizes teamwork with nurses and interdisciplinary staff, direct and indirect patient care, and leading social activities aligned with individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 21+ years of age.
• Basic computer and keyboarding competence; ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting or behavioral health preferred.
• Ability to multi-task under stressful situations and work with diverse populations.

Responsabilités

• The Psychiatric Technician is an integral member of the psychiatric residential, hospital-based psych emergency services team and participates in both direct and indirect patient care for adults and children.
• Promotes involvement in the treatment program under direction of a registered nurse.
• Leads social activities, games and crafts to engage residents and reinforce therapy concepts in care plans.
