Job summary

AltaPointe Health in Alabama is seeking an experienced LPN to join our adolescent psychiatry team. The role focuses on admissions, medication administration, and close observation of patients in crisis within a clinical unit.

The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, support families, and participate in ongoing training and documentation to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for youth. This is an on-site position at our Mobile facility.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama.
• Experience in psychiatric or adolescent care preferred.
• Ability to deescalate crises and provide nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Complete admissions process including medical checklist and vital signs.
• Observe and document consumers’ behavior; report to RN/physician.
• Administer medications following the Six Rights of medication administration.
• Provide wound care as ordered by physician.
• Assess and respond to crisis states; deescalate as needed.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise CNAs and provide on-the-job training.
• Maintain prompt and accurate documentation.
