Job summary

The Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation is seeking a Maintenance and Safety Manager to oversee upkeep of residential properties, ensure the safety of residents, staff, and assets, and enforce safety policies. This full-time role in Tucson, AZ requires leadership of the maintenance team and coordination with contractors to maintain secure, well-maintained facilities.

Responsibilities include budget monitoring, vendor management, emergency response coordination, and implementation of safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in residential property maintenance.
• At least one year of experience managing an effective and efficient maintenance team.
• Experience with expense management and budget oversight.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have a valid AZ Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the company.
• Fingerprint clearance through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
• Ability to climb 2-story ladders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee upkeep and maintenance of SAAF residential properties and ensure safety of residents and staff.
• Coordinate renovations, construction, and contractor work to improve property value and living conditions.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the Maintenance Team and ensure timely repairs and unit turns.
• Monitor maintenance activities and vendor performance to meet goals.
• Manage property budgets and monitor expenses; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and enforce security policies, safety programs, and emergency response readiness.
• Lead safety committee meetings and coordinate organization-wide safety training.
