Job summary

A prominent real estate firm in Reston, Virginia seeks a Property Manager to build and maintain a balanced portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will oversee tenant applications, market properties, and conduct inspections to ensure compliance. A college degree and experience in residential property management are preferred. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate, preferably in residential property management.
• Must be licensed to practice real estate in the jurisdictions where properties are located.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and load and unload materials onto and off of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates partnerships with local real estate sales offices.
• Onboards new accounts and advises owners.
• Markets rental properties through Multiple Listing Service.
• Processes applicants for tenancy and conducts property inspections.
• Prepares management leases and monitors unpaid rents.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to work independently

Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping fundamentals

Knowledge of property maintenance and improvements

Ability to work effectively with team members and contractors

Education

College degree preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience
