A.J. Dwoskin & Associates, Inc. is a leader in managing commercial and residential properties throughout the Northern Virginia region. They have over 28 properties with a mission to provide exceptional service to their residents, commercial tenants, and support the local communities. Residential Property Managers are responsible for all aspects of managing the day-to-day operations of apartment communities. Primary responsibilities include staff management, maintaining high levels of customer service, property curb appeal, liability management, budget development and adherence, and reporting. This is a direct hire onsite position in Woodbridge, Virginia, with a salary range of $75,000 to $84,000.

Residential Property Manager Responsibilities

1. Ensure staff responsibilities are completed professionally and in compliance with policies and laws.
2. Hire, manage, and lead leasing and maintenance personnel.
3. Conduct performance and annual reviews.
4. Prepare monthly schedules considering leave, meetings, and deadlines.
5. Conduct team meetings regularly.
6. Inspect property daily for standards compliance.
7. Walk vacant apartments regularly.
8. Manage resident relations and retention programs.
9. Prepare and approve reports and documentation in a timely manner.
10. Assist in preparing the annual budget and manage approved budgets.
11. Handle purchase orders and liability situations.
12. Report injuries/incidents as required.
13. Manage property key control.
14. Assist leasing team as outlined in their job description.
15. Attend safety meetings and adhere to policies.
16. Perform all aspects of Business Manager and Resident Service Coordinator duties if needed.
17. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. Associate degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years in property management.
3. Experience managing staff.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office; customer service and leadership skills.
5. Yardi experience is a plus.
6. Professional appearance and well-organized.
