Job summary

ALCO Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across our properties in Memphis, TN. You will perform general repairs, handle preventative maintenance, and assist with vendor coordination to keep buildings safe and functional.

This role requires attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to collaborate with community managers, residents, and staff. Prior experience in property maintenance and familiarity with building systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or associate’s degree in facilities management or related field preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in property maintenance or facilities management; multi-family/residential experience a plus.
• Mindset: Accountable, service-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities with safety in mind.
• Knowledge: Understanding of building systems, safety standards, and vendor coordination.
• Technical Skills: Use maintenance software (Yardi, Building Engines) and Microsoft Office; basic troubleshooting.
• Strengths: Organized, dependable, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties and perform preventative maintenance to ensure safety and functionality.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with vendor and contractor coordination for specialized repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections.
• Conduct routine checks of building systems and complete required logs.
• Collaborate with Community Managers to prioritize projects and allocate resources.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and reorder as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory standards.
