Job summary

Cape Associates in Massachusetts is seeking a Residential Property Inspector to assess residential properties, including mechanical, utility, foundation, roof, and structure, and to document findings with recommendations for improvements. You will also manage work orders and maintain strong customer relations.

Responsibilities include scheduling repairs, following through on recommendations, and delivering excellent service while ensuring safety and professionalism on every inspection.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Prior residential property inspection experience preferred.
• CORI background check required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and hazard identification.
• Availability for storm inspections as needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer use; willing to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external inspections of residential properties to identify any issues or potential problems.
• Document findings and prepare detailed reports for customers and company records.
• Provide recommendations for repairs or improvements for the property.
• Schedule work orders as needed and ensure completion through follow-up.
• Communicate inspection results and answer customer questions clearly.
• Take emergency phone duty on a rotating schedule for one week at a time.
• Ensure all inspections are conducted safely and professionally.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain trusting customer relationships.
