Project Manager – Mid/High-Rise Residential

About the Job:

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of mid- and high-rise residential projects throughout the Greater Houston area. This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, quality, and project delivery on large-scale multifamily or vertical residential developments.

This opportunity is with an established residential construction and development company with a strong presence in the Houston market. The company is known for delivering high-quality residential communities while maintaining strong standards around execution, safety, schedule, and overall project performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage mid- and high-rise residential projects from pre-construction through completion and turnover.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, construction progress, and key milestones.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, architects, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Monitor quality, safety, productivity, and schedule adherence throughout construction.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, bids, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate with field teams to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Track project costs, contracts, invoices, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and budget performance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize delays, cost impacts, and project risk.
  • Maintain strong communication with ownership, design teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
  • Support successful project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in residential construction project management, preferably involving mid-rise, high-rise, or large-scale multifamily projects.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Strong experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, contracts, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, scopes, and project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of vertical construction processes, sequencing, and building systems.
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost tracking, and project reporting.
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, ownership, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work on-site throughout the Greater Houston area.
