Job summary

Albertina Kerr is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring safety, managing budgets, and maintaining positive community relations.

Working on swing shifts Monday-Friday 1:00 pm–9:00 pm with weekend on-call rotation, the position offers on-call compensation and opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization.

Qualifications

• One-year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related field.
• Familiar with medication usage and side effects.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good math, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to relate effectively with people served.
• Ability to meet agency driving requirements.
• Ability to lift over 25 lbs.
• Push or pull in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule and provide peer support to diverse staff.
• Maintain a work environment focused on teamwork, safety and cooperation.
• Provide motivation and feedback to staff.
• Address conflict and model professional relationships.
• Monitor staff training and incident reports.
• Fill in to ensure staffing ratios and mentor staff.
• Assist in managing program finances and budgets.
• Develop relationships with community and government agencies.
