Job summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) in West Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Program Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in a community-based group home for adults with developmental disabilities. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes teamwork, client-centered care, and accountability.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, supporting daily living activities, administering medications, advocating for clients, and fostering independence.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with the population and supervisory experience.
• MAP certification, CPR and First Aid current.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficient with computers.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Reliable automobile and valid driver's license.
• Availability to work one weekend day, including on call.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all full or part-time staff to ensure service delivery.
• Supports clients' activities of daily living.
• Administers medications as needed.
• Advocates for individuals within community settings.
• Provides opportunities to optimize independence.
• Develops professional relationships and provides person-centered guidance.
• Interacts with clients to assess needs, discuss problems, set limits, and encourage growth.
• Provides thorough orientation of all new staff.
