The Center for Human Development (CHD) in West Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Program Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in a community-based group home for adults with developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with the population and supervisory experience.
• MAP certification, CPR and First Aid current.

• Reliable automobile and valid driver's license.
• Availability to work one weekend day, including on call.

Meadows Homes West Springfield, MA 010892577, USA Job Details Description The Center for Human Development - CHD, is currently seeking an experienced Program Supervisor to join our team in the Springfield, MA and surrounding towns. The Residential Supervisor works within the Agency's team model, establishing open communication, support and accountability among co-workers. Our team works in a supportive residential environment for developmentally disabled adults living in a community-based group home.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises all full or part‑time staff to ensure appropriate service delivery
• Supports clients' activities of daily living
• Administers medications as needed
• Advocates for individuals within various community settings
• Provides opportunities to optimize their independence
• Develops professional and supportive relationships with clients and provides informal counseling and guidance with a person‑centered focus.
• Interacts with clients in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, set limits, and encourage growth and development while monitoring safety
• Understands, follows/implements all client ISPs and documents progress
• Provides thorough orientation of all new staff

Requirements:

• Minimum two years' experience with the population as well as supervisory experience
• Must have current MAP certification, CPR and First Aid
• Must have excellent oral and written communication and be proficient in use of computers
• Bachelor's Degree in related field required
• Reliable automobile and valid driver's license required
• Flexibility needed to work one weekend day, including on call
