Job summary

Opportunity Partners in Minnesota is seeking a Residential Program Supervisor I to help people with disabilities live independently and participate in their communities. You will support individuals to increase independence and quality of life in group homes.

The role requires collaboration with care teams, supervising Direct Support Professionals, arranging schedules, and guiding staff training to ensure safe, person-centered supports.

Qualifications

• Desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of two years of human service experience supporting adults or children with disabilities.
• Minimum of six months of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the individual planning process with each person served.
• Collaborate with a person’s care team and facilitate team meetings.
• Promote hobbies and recreational activities.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery/personal shopping, and cooking.
• Schedule and attend medical appointments and provide medication administration.
• Support and develop independent living skills.
• Provide education and opportunities to problem solve in safety, apartment maintenance, finances, budgeting, social interactions, and self-advocacy.
• Supervise a staff of Direct Support Professionals.
• Provide training to personnel on health and support needs so individuals can live as independently as possible.
• Manage and maintain staffing schedule to ensure people’s support needs are met.
• Collaborate with the program manager regarding staff training and coaching.
