Job summary

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking a Residential Program Supervisor to lead DSP teams across in-person residential sites. You will oversee daily operations, staff development, and care coordination to ensure high-quality, person-centered living environments.

We value proactive leaders who can manage schedules, train staff, and participate in weekend on-call coverage. This is a full-time, field-based leadership role with growth opportunities in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of experience in developmental disabilities, caregiving, or human services.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (<6 points).
  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Site Operations: Oversee daily operations, budgets, groceries, emergency drills, and maintenance across sites.
  • Team Leadership: Provide daily leadership, coaching, onboarding, scheduling, and PTO approvals for DSPs.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct weekly site visits and QA reviews; ensure ISP/IP training compliance.
  • Documentation & Safety: Monitor MARs, Primary Solutions, and required reports; ensure safety and protection from abuse.
  • Collaborative Care: Assist with team meetings, assessments, and care coordination; communicate with supervisors and nursing staff.
  • Hands-On Support: Participate in on-call weekend rotation and provide direct care when needed across shifts.

About the Role

As a Residential Program Supervisor (House Supervisor), you’ll ensure high-quality, person-centered care while overseeing the daily healthcare and lifestyle operations of residential living homes. Through coordinating services, you will maintain a safe, enriching home environment for the individuals we serve. In addition, you will actively lead, train, and mentor our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) the vital frontline caregivers supporting our individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations: Oversee daily operations, household budgets, grocery management, emergency drills, and maintenance needs across assigned residential sites.
  • Team Leadership: Provide daily leadership, coaching, and training to DSPs. Participate in hiring, onboarding, staff development, scheduling, call-offs, shift coverage, and PTO approvals.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct weekly site visits and monthly QA reviews. Ensure staff are thoroughly trained on ISP/IP plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Documentation & Safety: Monitor critical documentation, including MARs, Primary Solutions, and required reports. Ensure all individuals are safe and free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Collaborative Care: Assist with team meetings, assessments, and care coordination. Communicate fluidly with supervisors, nursing staff, and administrative teams.
  • Hands-On Support: Participate in the on-call weekend rotation and provide direct care support/backup coverage (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts; weekends) as needed.
What We Are Looking For
Required Minimums
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of experience in developmental disabilities, caregiving, or human services.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points).
  • Ability to successfully pass BCI/FBI background checks and required health screenings.
Preferred Assets
  • Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.

Schedule & Work Environment
  • Schedule: Full-time leadership role with mixed schedule primarily across 1st and 2nd shifts. Includes an on-call weekend rotation and additional hours as needed for program or direct care coverage.
  • Environment: Primarily field-based with regular site visits. Must be completely comfortable providing direct care when needed and supporting multiple residential locations.
