Job summary

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in daily living, at home and in the community. Weekend shifts offer flexible hours and a chance to make a meaningful impact.

This part-time role includes personal care, documentation, transport, meals, and engaging activities, while fostering independence and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
• Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
• Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
• Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
• Transport individuals safely to appointments or social outings
• Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
• Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
• Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
• Participate in required paid training and team meetings

Available Schedules

Part-Time - Weekends shifts and one day a week

Anticipated Hours

12-20 hours - 2nd & 3rd shifts (sleep & awake)

Responsibilities include assisting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live their best lives

• Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks


• Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.

Qualifications You Need To Thrive In This Role

• High school diploma or GED


• Must be 18 years or older


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)


• Proof of auto insurance


• Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
