Job summary

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in home and community settings. This full-time, in-person role offers a base pay of $17.00/hr with overtime, plus shift differentials and sleep-shifts at $13/hr where available.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.

• No prior experience required; training provided.

Your Daily Impact (Responsibilities)

You will provide respectful, person-centered support to help our individuals live their best lives:

• Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care tasks including ambulation, bathing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost dignity.
• Community Enrichment: Engage individuals in exciting social, recreational, and local community activities.
• Home Comforts: Help maintain an enriching home environment by preparing meals, cleaning, doing laundry, and handling general household tasks.
• Safe Transits: Transport individuals safely to their medical appointments, grocery trips, or social outings.
• Goal Achievement: Actively encourage personal growth, independence, and the achievement of individual life goals.
• Professional Care: Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and client progress, and communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients.
