Job summary

Royer-Greaves School for the Blind in Pennsylvania seeks a Program Supervisor to oversee daily operations at assigned homes, ensure compliance with agency, county, regional, and state regulations, and monitor the treatment process.

You will supervise Community Support Associates, participate in program planning, and coordinate care while safeguarding HIPAA, training, and budget adherence; the role reports to the Residential Services Director.

Qualifications

  • Four years of combined training and experience in the field of human services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline may satisfy requirement.
  • PA State Police background check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprint, PA Driver’s License, Medication Administration training are required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of assigned home(s).
  • Ensure home(s) comply with agency, county, regional, and state regulations.
  • Monitor treatment process including assessments, ISP development, and reports.
  • Ensure staff trainings are completed as required by agency or licensing.
  • Monitor and approve program expenditures and maintain budgeted hours.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and participate in on-call responsibilities.

Job description

The Program Supervisor exists to implement the agency’s mission and purpose, as well as its policies and procedures as applicable to his/her assigned home(s). The Program Supervisor is assigned a home within the organization and it’s responsible for supervising all aspects of the program operations so that financial, personnel and program goals are achieved. This role serves as a role model to the employees they supervise as well as to other employees of the agency. This position directly supervises Community Support Associates assigned to the home; in addition, the Program Supervisor will perform Community Living as per the program schedule and/or programmatic need. The individual in this position receives supervision, direction, and feedback from the Residential Services Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assume supervision and responsibilities for the daily operations of assigned home(s).
  • Ensure that home(s) comply with agency, county, regional, and state regulations.
  • Monitor the entire treatment process; to include assessments, development of ISP’s, monthly and quarterly reports, goal plans, and other associated duties.
  • Ensure that assigned employees complete all trainings as required by agency or licensing requirements.
  • Monitor and approve all program expenditures including employee timesheets, travel vouchers, and reimbursements. Monitor and maintain cash advance and/or purchase card usage for home(s) supervised.
  • Ensure that program resources are adequately utilized. Schedule assigned staff and ensure adherence to programmatic budged hours, including overtime and staff leave time.
  • Ensure that monthly fire drills are performed in the home(s) in compliance with Royer-Greaves Services Fire Safety and Evacuation Plan.
  • Ascertain that the home(s) have adequate furnishings and equipment to guarantee a normative and acceptable quality of life for each person.
  • Ascertain that a comprehensive inventory of equipment and furnishings, including vehicles, are maintained per agency and county requirements.
  • Prepare required and requested program reports and statistical data as needed.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of program plans for each person using services.
  • Plan, develop, and implement programs to maximize the use of integrative opportunities and generic services.
  • Coordinate and direct consultation and casework in a manner that facilitates each person’s maximum growth and development.
  • Conduct team meetings and ensure their effectiveness as a program development and problem solving mechanism.
  • Inform families and legal guardians of activities and treatment changes. Ensure that close communication and collaboration occurs between the team and families.
  • Function as a team leader when required, including providing direct care to and transporting the individual’s using agency or personal vehicle.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all records; ensure compliance with all HIPAA requirements.
  • Respond to crisis and on-call situations as they arise, participate in assigned on-call responsibilities.
  • Conduct employee counseling/disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Interact with people using services in a manner that is conducive to their growth, learning, and improved self-esteem.
  • Participate in speaking engagements and other public relations functions as required.
  • Complete all required agency and regulatory trainings.
  • To monitor, collect data for and submit quality-related reports as required.
  • To have knowledge of and train employees in the agency’s Quality Plan.
  • To participate in quality-related activities such as Process Action teams or Task Forces and administer the program with an emphasis on providing life enriching, quality services.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four years of combined training and experience in the field of human services. May include a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and/or several years of direct experience in the Intellectual Disabilities field.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required to conduct trainings, and support staff programs as identified and required
  • PA State Police background check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprint, PA Driver’s License, Medication Administration training
